How to Ruin a Great Design
Alice Rawsthorn
I thought the article was an interesting read to say the least.
I had never thought about the different designs involved with traffic signs
before. I specifically didn't know about London's "sloppily designed
traffic signs." There was one part of the article that I didn't
agree with, it was when the author mentioned the old versus the current UPS
logo. Although I appreciate the old design, I don't feel that the new design is
as horrible as the author made it out to be. Frankly, I don't like this
author's style of writing. I felt that the author had a snobbish tone and it
was hard to become engaged. However, the article made a great point about designs-simplicity is best.
